So, here is Nathan & Julia’s wedding! Any one that knows me knows that I am in love with my dog so I was relieved to find that I am not the only one with a little obsession for their best furry friend. I loved that a photograph of their little puppy was featured on all the table numbers! Such a cutie. We had the most amazing weather too, with rain storms the day before and the day after but perfection for the wedding day!

This wedding was an absolute pleasure to photograph. The only contact I had with Alexis and Ben prior to the wedding was via email and phone but when we met on the wedding day it was as if I had known them for years. They are both such friendly, warm people and are clearly so perfect for each other. I instantly felt like a guest and a friend.

This was the first time I had been to Sylvan Glen in the Southern Highlands and I hope to get the chance to work there again. The owners have really added their sense of style with shabby chic and vintage influences. There are so many great spots here for photo locations, I could have kept snapping all day! The real beauty of this venue is that you really dont need to go anywhere else. Guests can stay on site, there is a golf course and tennis courts to keep them entertained, you can have your ceremony here, photo shoot and of course the reception.

Thankyou to Chris and Jasmin for jumping at the idea to visit the circus whilst it was in town.

The photo shoot was a fun-filled afternoon of super hero imitations by Chris (Captain Obvious!), hubba bubba that just wouldn’t bubble, cutie-pie puppy Oscar stealing the show, a stroll through a paddock, a picnic and a champagne fight.

Two days, three wedding gowns, two ceremonies, sun, rain and one happy couple.
So much colour, excitement and tradition all wrapped up into a glorious celebration!

Old Parliament House Rose Gardens was the venue for the couples ‘western’ wedding ceremony followed by canapes and drinks amongst the roses. The next day I started at Sanjeev’s parents home for a traditional ceremony for the groom prior to heading to the Hindu Temple for their Hindu wedding ceremony. The guests danced their way into the temple, led by a drummer. I must say that I found the words of the ceremony to be so beautiful and so real. The ceremony emphasized that the basis of happy and fulfilling married life is the sense of unity, intimacy and love between husband and wife. Thus, marriage is not for self-indulgence, but rather should be considered a lifelong social and spiritual responsibility. Married life is considered an opportunity for two people to grow from life partners into soul mates.

The reception venue is Albert Hall. Isnt it amazing?! I dont know why more people dont have their wedding receptions here. Its a bit of a hidden gem. I think its just beautiful. Loooved Kelly’s slinky gown, I think she looked like Brooke Sheilds in this dress!
